Al-Halbousi discusses, by phone, with his Turkish counterpart, bilateral relations and developments of the Palestinian cause

Baghdad Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi received, on Monday, a call from the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Shantoub.

During the call, according to a statement by Al-Halbousi office, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation bonds, and activate coordination between the two parliaments, to meet the challenges facing the region in order to achieve stability and the Palestinian issue and its developments.

The two sides stressed the necessity of exerting all kinds of diplomatic efforts in order to end the occupying entity’s attacks against the Palestinian people, and the importance of mobilizing international and Islamic parliaments to support the Palestinian cause.

Al-Halbousi stressed Iraq’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, and its support for all efforts that could end the attacks and violations against the Palestinian people, stressing that the time has come to unify visions and positions among the countries of the region and overcome differences, pointing to the need for joint action to support the Palestinian cause.
