Al-Sudani Orders Temporary Operation of Mosul International Airport for Domestic Flights


Baghdad: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil announced today, Saturday, that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani has ordered the temporary operation of Mosul International Airport for domestic flights, starting from the first of next month, through the Civil Aviation Authority, until the contract with the company operating international flights is finalized.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil explained: “This decision comes within the framework of accelerating the operation of the airport and alleviating the burden on the residents of Nineveh,” confirming that “the government is working to prepare all technical and administrative procedures to ensure the launch of domestic flights soon, in preparation for later transitioning to regular international flights after completing the official contract with the operating company.”
