Babylon: Security forces arrested a person on charges of smuggling antiquities in Babylon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a force from the National Security Service, in cooperation with the Babylon Police, apprehended the individual during an ambush in the Al-Qasim district, located south of Hillah, the provincial capital.

The suspect was attempting to smuggle three artifacts believed to date back to the ancient Babylonian civilization. The police promptly transferred the accused to the relevant authorities for further investigation. Meanwhile, the artifacts were sent to the Babylonian Museum for examination to verify their authenticity and historical significance.
