Istanbul: Turkish club Besiktas is reportedly close to securing a deal to sign Mohamed Salah. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish newspaper Kartal Record has stated that Besiktas has extended a one-year contract offer to Salah, which includes an option for an additional year. The newspaper, known for its close ties to Besiktas, revealed that the proposed contract would see Salah earning an annual salary of £12 million. The contract extension for another year is contingent upon Salah playing a specified number of matches. Discussions on image rights are also underway, with a separate agreement to be reached concerning shirt sales rights. Turkish journalist Sercan Dikme has affirmed that negotiations between Besiktas and Salah are advancing positively. Dikme noted that Salah is pleased with the club's strong interest in his services. Salah's recent participation in the 2016 World Cup saw him score one goal and provide two assists, helping Egypt achieve a historic progression to the Round of 16.
