Chinese Ambassador Highlights $51 Billion Trade with Iraq

Baghdad:Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Xiang Bo announced that trade between Iraq and China surpassed $51 billion last year, underscoring the strengthening ties and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Xiang Bo emphasized the ongoing and deepening development of Sino-Iraqi relations, which has led to practical collaborations across various sectors. He highlighted Iraq’s significant role as a partner in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which has produced notable results.

Chinese companies are actively involved in Iraq’s development, particularly in sectors such as oil, electricity, and infrastructure. The ambassador expressed optimism that cooperation will continue to grow and expand into new areas, fostering a comprehensive bilateral relationship.

Xiang Bo also noted the strong economic complementarity between the two nations, indicating a promising future and vast potential for further cooperation.
