Basra:The Civil Defense Directorate in Basra has initiated a field campaign to remove war remnants and unexploded ordnance (UXO) from several areas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate’s media office announced that unexploded ordnance disposal units and relevant teams have conducted an operation to clear war remnants in the North Rumaila area of Al-Zubair District. The recovered items have been transported to a secure, reinforced storage facility, where they await official destruction by the competent authorities in accordance with established legal procedures.
