Ouagadougou:Anbar Security forces have successfully apprehended a drug trafficker in Anbar, seizing 34 kilograms of narcotics in the process. The arrest marks a significant operation in the region’s ongoing battle against drug-related crimes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances reported that the arrest was the result of a precise security and intelligence operation. Units from the Special Investigations Department conducted the operation, which culminated in the seizure of the narcotics.

The Directorate detailed that the operation involved intensive intelligence monitoring and careful tracking of the suspect’s movements. This meticulous approach allowed the authorities to lure the suspect into a position where he was caught red-handed, leading to his arrest in line with established legal procedures.
