Aleppo: Clashes have erupted once again between Syrian Army forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in multiple neighborhoods of Aleppo. The renewed conflict is centered around the Castello and Sheikh Maqsoud axes, leading to heightened tensions in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are actively shelling the al-Suryan neighborhood, which has intensified the clashes with the Syrian Arab Army. The conflict has also seen the deployment of drones by the SDF to monitor movements around Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods. Both sides have been involved in a heated exchange of accusations regarding the targeting of residential areas.
On Tuesday, Syrian media outlets reported that the SDF had launched artillery and heavy machine gun attacks on residential neighborhoods and a Syrian army position in Aleppo. This attack reportedly resulted in five deaths, including four civilians, and several injuries. However, the SDF has denied these allegations, claiming that armed factions associated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense were responsible for targeting neighborhoods in Aleppo with heavy weaponry, resulting in three deaths and 26 injuries.
The ongoing clashes have caused a significant displacement of residents from neighborhoods adjacent to the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud districts, as civilians seek safety from the escalating violence in Aleppo.
