Baquba: A team from the Inspection Department of the Diyala Health Directorate seized quantities of smuggled medicines in Baquba, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Director of Media for the Diyala Health Directorate, Faris Al-Azzawi, stated to a correspondent that a team from the Inspection Department conducted an evening inspection tour targeting private pharmacies in the Baquba district. The purpose was to monitor the medicines being sold and ensure compliance with drug pricing and ministerial directives.

He further explained that the campaign resulted in the seizure and confiscation of quantities of smuggled and untested medicines. This action was taken in accordance with established regulations and as part of efforts to protect public health and ensure the safety of citizens.
