CTS, Federal Police Commanders Discuss Strengthening Joint Security Coordination

Baghdad: The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service-CTS Commander, Lieutenant General Zaid Houshi Al-Moussawi, discussed strengthening joint security coordination with Federal Police Commander Lieutenant General Mohammed Qasim Al-Fahd. According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Moussawi received Al-Fahd at the service's headquarters, where the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them strengthening security coordination and developing mechanisms for cooperation between the two institutions.

The statement added that the meeting also discussed ways to unify efforts in carrying out security duties and exchanging expertise and information in a manner that contributes to enhancing readiness and strengthening the ability to confront security challenges.

It noted that both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and integration among the various security formations in a way that enhances security and stability, preserves the achievements made in counterterrorism, and reinforces the rule of law.
