Dubai: The Dubai Comedy Festival returns in 2026 for its seventh edition, taking place across the city from October 9 to 18. The festival promises ten days of non-stop entertainment, fun, and laughter, featuring a diverse lineup of live comedy performances by some of the biggest names in Arab and international comedy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the festival reinforces Dubai's position as a global hub for entertainment and the arts, offering shows in multiple languages at unique venues throughout the city. Audiences will experience a vibrant atmosphere of laughter and joy in an event that celebrates cultural diversity.

A highlight of the festival is a hilarious evening at the Dubai Opera with the comedy play "The Engineer of Public Taste." This play blends humor, lighthearted satire, and familiar family situations, telling the story of a young couple preparing for a significant milestone in their lives together.

The Dubai Comedy Festival continues with an evening of non-stop laughter featuring Indian comedy star Jamie Lever at the Emirates Theatre in Jumeirah. Lever is one of India's leading comedians, renowned for her talent for impersonating celebrities.

Dubai audiences can also look forward to a live performance by Indian stand-up comedian Munawar Farooqui at the Dubai Opera, as part of the Dubai Comedy Festival.

The festival also includes a hilarious evening with Russian comedian Alexander Merkol, who will perform live at the New Covent Garden Theatre in Mall of the Emirates on October 15.

American comedian Margaret Hannah Arendt will present her new live show, "Million Dollar Excuses," at the Dubai Opera, also as part of the Dubai Comedy Festival.

The festival includes a performance of "We Can Talk" by Lebanese comedy star John Ashkar at the Dubai Opera.
