Baghdad: Empowering women and enhancing their participation in entrepreneurship and the green economy are key pillars of the Ministry of Environment's strategy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Iktifaa Mazhar Al-Hassnawi, affirmed that these elements are fundamental to the ministry's approach. During a dialogue session for women entrepreneurs held at the Council of Representatives, Al-Hassnawi discussed mechanisms for strengthening women's economic roles and supporting initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Al-Hassnawi emphasized the Ministry's commitment to supporting initiatives and projects that foster sustainable development partnerships. This commitment aims to expand opportunities for women's participation in both environmental and economic fields, aligning with the country's broader goals for sustainable growth and development.
