Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his meeting with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, affirmed his country’s readiness to exert further diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications issued a statement quoting Erdogan during his meeting with the Slovak President in Ankara, on the sidelines of the NATO summit. The statement highlighted Turkey’s ongoing efforts to end the wars in Ukraine and Iran through diplomatic means.
During the meeting, Erdogan emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts between Ankara and Bratislava to achieve desired goals in trade and mutual investment. He also noted the potential benefits of expanding cooperation in the energy and transportation sectors for both countries.
Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to working towards peace and stability in the Gaza Strip and addressing the humanitarian issues faced by Palestinians.
Turkey has consistently declared its readiness to mediate between Moscow and Kyiv, maintaining open communication channels with both sides. Ankara has been involved in organizing negotiation rounds and continues to advocate for a ceasefire and a comprehensive political and diplomatic settlement to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
