Al-muqdadiyah: Police forces arrested two individuals accused of extortion in Al-Muqdadiyah district of Diyala province and seized weapons and equipment in their possession.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diyala Police Command stated in a press release that, “Following information received about an extortion case targeting a citizen in Al-Muqdadiyah district, a security team was formed from the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Al-Muqdadiyah Police Station to investigate the matter.”

The statement added, “The security efforts resulted in the arrest of two individuals involved in the extortion operation and the seizure of two rifles (M4 and M16) and a Glock pistol, which were in their possession.”

It continued, “The suspects, along with the weapons and seized items, were handed over to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures.”
