Faihan Pledges Unwavering Support for Strengthening Iraqi Army

Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi affirmed the Parliament’s continued and unwavering support for strengthening the capabilities of the valiant Iraqi army.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dulaimi expressed his sentiments on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Army, extending congratulations to the Iraqi people and the armed forces. He described this occasion as an embodiment of a history filled with sacrifice and dedication in defense of Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Al-Dulaimi highlighted the importance of recognizing the promotions of officers and honoring the martyrs of the Iraqi army. He emphasized the sacrifices made by the wounded soldiers, acknowledging their contributions to the nation’s security and stability as a demonstration of duty and national belonging.

He further stated that the Iraqi army has been a unifying national institution for 105 years, serving as the backbone of the state and a pillar in establishing security and defending the constitution. Al-Dulaimi reiterated the Parliament’s commitment to supporting the army to preserve national sovereignty and build a deterrent military force suited to current demands. He concluded by wishing mercy upon the martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded, hoping for the continued strength and capability of the Iraqi army.
