Fayhan Extends Condolences on Imam Ali’s Martyrdom Anniversary


Baghdad: Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, has extended his condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, in his statement of condolence, al-Dulaimi expressed his deepest sympathies to several groups, including the Imam of the Time, religious authorities, the Iraqi people, the Islamic nation, and all of humanity. He described the martyrdom of Imam Ali as a significant tragedy.



Al-Dulaimi remarked that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the highest human values and moral principles associated with Imam Ali. He cited Imam Ali’s belief that people are either brothers in faith or fellow human beings, emphasizing justice as a core value.



He further stated that Imam Ali’s memory is not just about recalling a sad event but is a message to uphold values such as faith, justice, freedom, dignity, courage, and humility. Al-Dulaimi encouraged supporting the oppressed and aiding those in distress as part of this message.



Al-Dulaimi concluded by emphasizing that a nation rooted in the values and principles of Imam Ali cannot be broken. He stressed that the truth is measured by the steadfastness of the believers, rather than the power of tyrants, reflecting the teachings of Imam Ali.
