Fire at Biscuit Factory Near Trikala Claims Three Lives


Trikala: A fire that broke out at a biscuit factory near the city of Trikala in central Greece has claimed the lives of three people and left two others missing, according to the Greek fire service. The fire, which engulfed the industrial facility, was battled by approximately 40 firefighters and 13 fire trucks, while flames remained visible across the factory’s roof.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the factory owner stated that the cause of the fire is unclear. Eight of the 13 people in the factory managed to escape, while three bodies were recovered, and two remain missing.



Investigators and disaster response units have been dispatched to the scene. Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis told ERT News radio that six people, including a firefighter, were treated at a local hospital for respiratory problems, adding that their condition was stable and their lives were not in danger.
