Basra: A fire that erupted at the headquarters of the Youth and Sports Forum in the Al-Zubair district of Basra has been successfully extinguished by Civil Defense teams. The incident, which occurred at a youth and sports center, was promptly addressed by emergency services to prevent any casualties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense teams managed to control the blaze using a fleet of modern, state-of-the-art vehicles. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the provincial Civil Defense Director, Brigadier General Mazen Mohammed Lafteh. Support was also provided by local oil companies and service departments, ensuring a swift response to the emergency.

The media office of the directorate reported that while the fire resulted in material damage, fortunately, no casualties were recorded. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined and will be investigated through forensic evidence.
