Diwaniyah: Five people were killed in a traffic accident on the road linking Diwaniyah and Al-Siniyah district, north of the province. Among the deceased was an elderly woman.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source reported that the bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine department at Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital. Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
