Foreign Minister Discusses Preparations for Dutch Prime Minister’s Visit to Iraq with Dutch Ambassador

Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met today with Janette Aalberda, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Iraq, to discuss preparations for the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, along with ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, particularly in the area of investment and between businesspeople, in a manner that serves mutual interests.

The discussions also included preparations for the Dutch Prime Minister’s visit to Iraq and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting addressed prospects for economic cooperation and explored opportunities for establishing partnerships with Dutch companies, which would contribute to supporting development efforts and enhancing joint cooperation.

Additionally, the ongoing steps to form a government within the framework of constitutional requirements were discussed.
