Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a letter from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, containing key international issues and the situation in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release: “Minister Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh, in Baghdad today, Tuesday. During the meeting, the Ambassador delivered a written message to the Minister from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi.”
The letter conveyed the Iranian perspective on key international issues, in addition to the political and security situation in the region. The meeting also addressed developments in the post-election political situation in Iraq and the steps being taken towards forming a government, which would contribute to supporting stability and strengthening the political process.
