Paris:French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced the suspension of classes in high schools until the end of the week.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the suspension aims to facilitate dialogue with protesting students. The protests, which have been sweeping across the country, have resulted in injuries to 215 students, 85 staff members, and 715 security personnel.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the radical left is attempting to incite chaos ahead of the presidential elections through these student protests. On Tuesday, tens of thousands of high school students mobilized across France under tight security measures, with concerns that the protests might escalate and spread to universities.
