Tehran: The Foreign Ministry spokesperson has condemned repeated Israeli military attacks on Lebanon, denouncing recent air strikes on the country’s south and the Bekaa Valley.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Esmaeil Baqaei stated that the strikes had targeted residential and industrial areas as well as urban infrastructure, calling them a clear violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law. The spokesperson expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and people and conveyed condolences to the families of those killed in the attacks.
He also said Israel had repeatedly violated its ceasefire agreement with Lebanon over the past year, stressing the responsibility of guarantors of the truce and urging the international community, the United Nations and regional countries to take more serious action to confront Israeli aggression and escalation.
