Iran: Execution of Spy Who Worked for Mossad

Iran: Iranian authorities executed Ali Ardestani on Wednesday after convicting him of spying for the Israeli intelligence and security agency, Mossad.

Iranian media reported that, according to the case file, he was recruited online by Mossad and carried out missions for them in exchange for money and false promises.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, available documents and evidence, along with his explicit confessions, showed that Ardestani, under the direction of Mossad officers, carried out missions that included taking photographs of specific locations and providing information on designated targets. He received payments in cryptocurrency after each mission.

He also met with a known individual inside Iran at various locations through the officers, handing over the information and photographs he had collected, and receiving new tasks from him.

During the investigation and trial, the defendant admitted that he was fully aware of his contact with Mossad officers and that he provided them with valuable information.
