Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed Iraq’s rejection of military and hostile actions in the Middle East.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, In an address to the annual coordination meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers in New York, Hussein reiterated Iraq’s position calling for the prioritization of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing outstanding issues.

He also affirmed Iraq’s rejection and condemnation of the ongoing attacks committed by the Israeli entity in Syria and Lebanon, stressing the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as adhering to the rules of international law and the UN Charter.

He further expressed Iraq’s readiness to host the 52nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, scheduled to be held in Baghdad on October 17-18, 2026
