Baghdad: The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces declared that any threat originating from Iraqi territory towards neighboring countries will be met with decisive legal measures. Sabah al-Nu'man, the spokesman, emphasized that such actions are deemed illegal and that the perpetrators will face stringent legal repercussions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Nu'man made these statements during a televised address, urging factions to refrain from executing their threat to bomb Saudi Arabia. He assured that Iraqi security forces are prepared to uphold the country's sovereignty and will employ all necessary means to prevent threats from being launched from Iraqi soil.
The spokesperson further conveyed that Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi opposes the politicization of security matters and any political interference in the operations of security institutions.
