IRGC Foils Alleged Israeli-Linked Plots and Arrests Key Operative in Iran

Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence announced on Wednesday the arrest of what it described as the ‘main link’ between the so-called ‘Shahanshahi Organization’ and Israel, during a security operation carried out in the south of the country as part of a series of large-scale security measures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian intelligence said it had dismantled special ‘street combat’ teams operating across nine Iranian provinces, as part of alleged plots aimed at undermining internal security and stability. The statement added that security forces also arrested the leader of a separatist group before it could carry out a planned terrorist attack targeting two military sites near the border, noting that the plot was foiled before being put into action.

IRGC intelligence further confirmed that it had identified 31 individuals who were prepared to cooperate with Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad, stressing that investigations are ongoing to uncover additional affiliated networks. The statement emphasized that the IRGC would spare no effort in confronting what it described as enemy-linked combat networks, affirming the continuation of security operations to safeguard Iran’s national security and counter any internal or external threats.
