Kerman: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, has strongly criticized the United States, labeling the alleged kidnapping of the Venezuelan president as an indication of the “depth of depravity” of the U.S.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Vahidi spoke during a ceremony commemorating the sixth anniversary of Major General Qassem Soleimani’s martyrdom in Kerman. He argued that such actions, including the assassination of Soleimani, reflect not strength but the moral decline of the United States, pointing towards an impending collapse.
Vahidi further discussed the implications of Soleimani’s assassination, describing it as a demonstration of the weakness of U.S. arrogance and a catalyst for unity among the Iranian people. He stated that the assassination highlighted the ineffectiveness of traditional political and international strategies, suggesting a downward trajectory for U.S. influence.
Highlighting Martyr Soleimani’s influential role, Vahidi noted his significant contributions to defending Iran and supporting both Christians and Muslims in the region. Soleimani’s opposition to the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group and his challenges to U.S. policies were seen as pivotal in thwarting complex enemy plans.
Vahidi also linked Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, conducted by the Palestinian resistance, to Soleimani’s efforts, noting how it exposed the Israeli regime’s nature, making it one of the most criticized regimes globally.
He emphasized Soleimani’s role in rekindling national will in Iran and beyond, fostering a level of self-awareness that adversaries cannot overlook. Vahidi argued that contrary to expectations, Soleimani’s assassination has not weakened Iran; rather, it has strengthened the nation and intensified the resistance movement.
Brigadier General Vahidi concluded by stating that the United States is undergoing a strategic decline, with its traditional methods of asserting global dominance losing effectiveness. Consequently, he claimed, the U.S. has resorted to force, war, terrorism, and plunder in pursuit of its objectives.
