Tel aviv: In a series of airstrikes, the Israeli army has confirmed the assassination of two senior members of Hamas in Gaza City and Khan Younis. The army identified one of the deceased as a key figure involved in leading military training exercises in preparation for the events that unfolded on October 7, 2013.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ella Wawiya, spokesperson for the Israeli army’s Arabic media division, provided details on the successful airstrikes. The target in Khan Younis was identified as Raafat Abu al-Zamar, a commander within Hamas’s Operations Directorate. Wawiya noted that Abu al-Zamar was instrumental in training fighters and enhancing the group’s combat readiness.

The other individual, targeted in Gaza City, was Muhammad Khader Fahmi Ajjour, who was involved in weapons production for the organization. The Israeli military claims these operations were conducted to dismantle the capabilities of Hamas by removing key figures responsible for its military operations and infrastructure.
