Beirut: The Lebanese army has dispatched reinforcements to the Al-Qaa Projects area on the border with Syria following reports of intense shelling from militants on the Syrian side. The move aims to bolster the region’s defenses and ensure the safety of Lebanese territory.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Lebanese army has responded to attacks originating from the Syrian side, specifically by forces affiliated with armed groups in the Qusayr countryside. These groups have reportedly targeted farms in the Al-Qaa plain using medium and heavy machine guns, escalating tensions along the border.

The Lebanese Army Command released a statement addressing ongoing military actions.
