Ahvaz: Ramin Power Plant, located near the southwestern city of Ahvaz in Iran, is undergoing maintenance under at least 10 projects carried out using domestic technical expertise and capabilities. The projects are part of broader national plans implemented during the cold season, when electricity consumption is lower than in summer.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, these measures are aimed at ensuring a stable electricity supply during the peak demand period in the summer months. Thermal power plants generate more than 95 percent of Iran’s electricity, and Ramin Power Plant-the country’s largest thermal power facility-plays a vital role in supporting the national power grid.
