Baghdad: The General Company for Maritime Transport, an affiliate of the Ministry of Transport, has successfully obtained a certificate of compliance with the requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the certificate was awarded by a renowned French classification society after the General Company for Maritime Transport passed rigorous audits and technical evaluations. These evaluations were conducted in line with the approved international maritime standards, ensuring that the company meets the global benchmarks for maritime operations.

The achievement of this certificate is pivotal for the company as it plays a significant role in ensuring maritime safety.
