Baghdad: The media office of MP Mahdi Taqi al-Amerli announced today, Saturday, that he has been appointed head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in the Council of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the appointment was confirmed through a brief statement issued by the MP’s media office, which stated, “Al-Amerli has been officially appointed head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee.” This development is part of the ongoing changes within the parliamentary committees of the Council of Representatives.
