Baghdad: The Minister of Communications, Mustafa Sand, has issued a directive for the adoption of electronic applications by fiber optic (FTTH) companies to collect monthly subscriptions without imposing any additional fees. This initiative aims to streamline the payment process for consumers and ensure a more efficient service delivery.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directive also includes a provision allowing consumers a grace period of seven days for subscription renewal from the expiry date. This consideration is particularly aimed at accommodating instances of delayed salary payments, thereby easing potential financial burdens on subscribers.

This move by the Ministry of Communications is expected to enhance the overall customer experience and encourage greater adoption of digital payment methods within the telecommunications sector.
