Najaf: Minister of Health Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi arrived in Najaf Governorate on Tuesday evening, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, to oversee the implementation of the health plan for the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) and to assess the readiness of health institutions and medical services provided to pilgrims.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, upon his arrival, Dr. Al-Hasnawi held an extensive meeting with Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghazali, the Director General of the Najaf Health Department, along with senior staff. The meeting focused on reviewing the health plan, evaluating the level of preparedness, and identifying significant challenges to ensure smooth service delivery.
Dr. Al-Hasnawi emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts and coordinating among health and ambulance personnel. He highlighted the importance of enhancing preparedness in hospitals, health centers, and emergency units along the pilgrimage routes. Additionally, he stressed the need to support health institutions with medical, nursing, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal services for pilgrims.
