National Intelligence Service Frees Kidnapped Iraqi in Iran


Baghdad: The National Intelligence Service announced the release of an Iraqi citizen who had been kidnapped in Iran.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated: “Based on precise intelligence, the National Intelligence Service, in a high-quality operation abroad, was able to free Iraqi citizen Hussein Taha Yassin, who had been kidnapped by a criminal gang in Iran. The gang attempted to extort his family and demand a ransom for his release.”



It explained that: “After coordination with the security authorities in Iran and exceptional, intensive efforts, including field tracking and pursuit operations, the location of the detention was identified, raided, the kidnapped man was freed, and a number of the kidnappers were arrested.”
