Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has emphasized that economic activities conducted by all segments of Iranian society, from workers to employers, are strategic in maintaining the dignity and national security of Iran. Ghalibaf highlighted that adversaries seek to undermine the country’s independence, making these activities crucial for national resilience.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf made these remarks during a gathering at Imam Khomeini’s Mausoleum, located south of Tehran. He underscored that when adversaries are unable to apply military pressure, they resort to economic pressure, targeting the production sector and the livelihoods of the Iranian people. Ghalibaf called on workers and employers to actively counter these economic challenges.

Ghalibaf further elaborated that the efforts of laborers, investors, and employers are not just economic but also strategic actions that bolster national security and the country’s honor. He asserted that with the steadfastness of the Iranian populace, no external force could defeat Iran in military, economic, or cultural domains.

The speaker also expressed optimism regarding the collaboration between Parliament and President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration. He mentioned ongoing efforts to stabilize the currency market and mitigate the economic difficulties faced by the citizens, specifically addressing the issue of rising dollar prices.
