Erbil: Major General Hamirgar, a leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party, stated that the perpetrators of the attacks on the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud districts of Aleppo were ISIS militants. Hamargar, the Commander of the Kirkuk Peshmerga forces, added in a press conference: “If orders are issued and the need arises, the Peshmerga forces will head to Aleppo to confront these armed groups and provide support to our brothers and sisters there.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, he pointed out that “civilians are being subjected to unjustified attacks and mass killings,” noting that “ISIS elements committed serious violations against Kurds in the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud districts a few days ago.”
