Baghdad: PM Ali Faleh al-Zaidi oversaw the handover ceremony at the National Security Advisory on Saturday, marking the transition between the new advisor, Qasim Hassan al-Aboudi, and the former advisor, Qasim Mohammed Jalal al-Araji. During the ceremony, the Prime Minister highlighted the critical importance of maintaining professional performance and enhancing the level of institutional work.

According to Iraqi News Agency, PM al-Zaidi underscored the necessity of fulfilling the tasks assigned to the Advisory to bolster security and stability, and to support the capabilities of all relevant security agencies and formations. The Prime Minister’s statement, as released by the PM Media Office, emphasized the strategic need for ongoing monitoring of security files and programs that contribute to the independence of Iraqi security decision-making and the reinforcement of the country’s sovereignty.

Al-Zaidi also took the opportunity to commend al-Araji’s professional performance throughout his tenure, reiterating the importance of continuing the work that strengthens Iraq’s security framework.
