Baghdad: President Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the Governor of Anbar, Omar Mishaan Dabbous, today, Wednesday, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. A presidential statement indicated that at the beginning of the meeting, the President presented the new governor with the presidential decree appointing him to the position, wishing him success in fulfilling his responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of exerting efforts to improve services and development in Anbar Governorate in a way that meets the aspirations of its citizens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President also called for giving the highest priority to reconstruction, security, and services, affirming the Presidency’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development and improving the standard of living in the governorate. For his part, the Governor of Anbar expressed his gratitude to the President for his confidence, affirming his commitment to exerting maximum effort to serve the people of the province, working to implement development programs, and coordinating with relevant authorities to contribute to the province’s stability and improve its public services.
