Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with the Charg© d'Affaires of the US Embassy, Joshua Harris, to discuss regional developments and their impact on the region. A presidential statement indicated that the President received the Charg© d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, as well as maintaining coordination and joint cooperation on issues and files of mutual interest, in order to achieve the common interests of both countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also addressed developments in the regional and international situations and their impact on the region, in addition to emphasizing the need to avoid escalation and adopt dialogue as a means to resolve crises, in a way that contributes to supporting regional and international security and stability.
