Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani Promotes Social Welfare Initiatives

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the government's commitment to social affairs and supporting active institutions that contribute to building society alongside the state.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a press release: "Today, Wednesday, al-Sudani shared an Iftar meal during the holy month of Ramadan with a group of orphaned children who are memorizers of the Holy Quran, in the presence of the head and members of the Al-Mubarraq Foundation for Orphan Care."

Al-Sudani offered his condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, known as the Father of Orphans, emphasizing his commitment to his path and legacy. He also expressed his pride in meeting a select group of Quran memorizers from honorable and modest families who have achieved academic success and excellence despite challenges, and in witnessing their remarkable resilience and perseverance in facing life's challenges.

Addressing the children present, he affirmed, "The loss of one or both parents does not signify the end of the road. Rather, we are all part of one large family built on social solidarity and communication."

He emphasized the government's commitment to social affairs and its support for active institutions that contribute to building society and caring for this cherished segment of society.

The Prime Minister urged the children to focus on their studies and religious teachings, and to combine memorizing the Holy Quran with sound thinking in the face of challenges. He also advised them to enhance their skills in using social media to protect themselves from destructive projects and programs.

Al-Sudani listened to the foundation's observations and initiatives, commending its prominent role in providing care and support to orphaned children.
