Baghdad: Real Madrid officially announced the signing of Ivory Coast international Yann Diomande from German club RB Leipzig.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Real Madrid won the race to sign RB Leipzig's Ivorian forward Yann Diomande for £135 million ($156 million), making him the most expensive African player in history. Paris Saint-Germain withdrew from the race to sign the player last month, paving the way for Real Madrid to complete the deal after the 19-year-old scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists for RB Leipzig last season.
Before joining RB Leipzig for a reported fee of around £20 million, Diomande made 10 appearances for Legan©s, scoring twice. He also started all four of Ivory Coast's matches at the World Cup before the team was eliminated in the Round of 32.
