Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported a significant interception operation where its air defense systems successfully neutralized 134 Ukrainian drones across various regions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry detailed the operation, revealing that 57 drones were intercepted over the Crimean Peninsula, 18 over Krasnodar, and 20 over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Furthermore, 14 drones were shot down over Oryol, while 8 were intercepted over Lipetsk Oblast. Other interceptions occurred with 4 drones each over Bryansk, Kursk, and Tula, 2 each over Voronezh, and 1 over Rostov Oblast. The Defense Ministry’s report underscores the extensive reach and capability of the Russian air defense systems currently in operation.
