Baghdad: The head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, affirmed to the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, that Iraq’s strength and stability are a regional and international necessity.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi’s media office issued a press release stating that Sheikh Humam Hamoudi received the British Ambassador, Irfan Siddiq, to discuss recent political developments and the formation of the government following the elections.
Sheikh Hamoudi emphasized the importance of preparing a realistic government program that addresses economic issues and meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people. He underscored the necessity of Iraq’s strength and stability on both regional and international fronts.
He further highlighted Iraq’s strategic geographical location as a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in promoting dialogue and building peace. Sheikh Hamoudi called for intensified diplomatic efforts to leverage this advantage in establishing more balanced equations in the region.
