Signing of a Declaration of Intent Regarding the Future Deployment of an International Force in Ukraine

Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a declaration of intent Tuesday evening regarding the deployment of a multinational force following a ceasefire in Ukraine. The signing took place after a meeting in Paris, where leaders discussed the pivotal role of this force in ensuring stability post-conflict.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Macron emphasized that this force, which has been under consideration for months, aims to provide reassurance in the days following a ceasefire. He noted that 35 countries forming the "coalition of the willing" have endorsed security guarantees for Ukraine.

Starmer expressed optimism, stating that peace in Ukraine seems closer than ever, although he acknowledged that significant challenges remain. The leaders' commitment to this declaration marks a step towards sustained peace efforts in the region.
