Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, emphasized today the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to provide services to citizens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi’s media office stated in a press release that he received the Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadhil, and the Minister of Trade, Atheer al-Ghurairi, in two separate meetings. During these meetings, the ministers congratulated al-Halbousi on his election and expressed their wishes for his success in his new duties.

The statement further highlighted that the discussions underscored the necessity of collaboration between the legislative and executive branches to work towards providing essential services to the populace.
