Baghdad: The Speaker of Parliament, Haibet Alhalbousi, received the Minister of Communications, Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, for a meeting on Thursday. The discussions were centered around the current state of the communications sector, with a particular focus on the ministry’s plans to enhance infrastructure and improve internet and telecommunications services. The meeting also included discussions on digital transformation and government integration projects.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the parliament released a statement highlighting that the meeting also covered the proposed Ministry of Communications Bill. This bill is aimed at regulating the relationship and defining the powers between the ministry and the Media and Communications Commission. The goal is to ensure the development of the sector and improve the standard of services offered to citizens.
