Trkiye Condemns Damascus Bombings and Pledges Continued Support for Syria


Ankara: The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of the recent bombings in Damascus, Syria, expressing its unwavering solidarity with the Syrian people. The ministry’s statement emphasized the need to eliminate violence and terrorism in Syria, highlighting Turkey’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting stability and security in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Interior Ministry reported that 18 individuals, including four police officers, were injured following the detonation of two improvised explosive devices near the Ministry of Tourism building in the Syrian capital. The attacks occurred during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Damascus, marking the first visit by a French president to Syria in nearly two decades.



As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the bombings. In the wake of the incident, Syrian authorities have intensified their efforts to restore security, following the ousting of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Turkey has reiterated its support for these efforts, aiming to bolster the stability and security of Syria.
