Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry To Discuss With Japanese Ambassador Relations Between The Two Countries And Ways Of Strengthening Them

BAGHDAD / Under Secretary of Foreign Ministry for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, Omar Barzanji discussed with the Japanese ambassador Fumio Iwai relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Asia Department Ambassador Burhan al-Jaf, according to a Foreign Ministry statement, Barzanji briefed "victories achieved by the security forces, Peshmerga, popular mobilization and the sons of the tribes on Daesh terrorist gangs and liberating the areas that were under the control of those terrorist groups, praised the heroic role of the security forces in the liberation of Mosul city.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador confirmed his country's support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, expressing his happiness on the victories achieved by the security forces in Mosul and heroic role in retaking the cities that were under the control of terrorist gangs Daesh.
